Job summary

RTX is seeking a seasoned accounting professional for the Corporate Accounting organization. The role focuses on overseeing corporate ledger activities, equity and stock-based compensation, and supporting technical accounting under US GAAP.

You will lead process improvements during ERP transformation, work with executives and cross-functional teams, and help shape new standard documentation while addressing high-visibility accounting topics.

Qualifications

• Experience in researching and applying US GAAP.
• Experience with quarterly results and balance sheet / P&L.
• Ability to communicate with senior management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Travel occasionally to the RTX Corporate Office in Farmington, CT.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day corporate ledger activity and technical accounting matters in accordance with RTX Policy and US GAAP.
• Lead analytical reviews of corporate balance sheet and P&L accounts, and support equity disclosures.
• Identify and evaluate risks within assigned accounting areas and develop recommendations.
• Collaborate with key corporate functions to ensure accurate recording of complex transactions.
• Support ERP implementation and enhancements to account reconciliation processes.
• Lead corporate accounting process improvements using CORE framework and AI-enabled efficiencies.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation.
• Prepare accounting memos for complex transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and RTX policy.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses and cross-functional projects.
• Partner with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audit.
