Job summary
Rolls-Royce in Mankato, MN seeks a Control Systems Architect to lead the design, configuration, and support of advanced control platforms for diesel and gas gensets, energy storage systems, and other power products within RRSA. You will interact with customers and coordinate with product R&D and engineering teams across Augsburg, Liege, Friedrichshafen, and Mankato to deliver innovative control solutions.
The role requires traveling to client sites and working within Rolls-Royce standards for
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
- 7 years of control system design and engineering experience.
- Experience paralleling generator sets via electronic controls.
- Knowledge of SEP2, DNP3, or SunSpec Modbus protocols.
- Ability and willingness to travel for business trips (30%).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate development of control system architectures and configurations meeting client objectives.
- Act as SME for specification, design, and validation of control systems across global projects.
- Lead control systems engineering for Diesel, Gas, & Kinetic Power Packs to align global strategies.
- Follow standard engineering principles and applicable ERP procedures.
- Promote compliance with Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
