Job summary

Rolls-Royce Power Systems in Mankato, MN is seeking a Sr. Applications Engineer – Electrical to lead the electrical integration for customer projects within the Project Systems Engineering team.

The role requires coordination with R&D and custom engineering across locations, extensive client interaction, and ownership of electrical design activities for generator systems, LV/MV gear, and control circuits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of electrical engineering experience with design, field service, application, sales or manufacturing engineering; or 9 years of electrical engineering experience with design, field service, application, sales or manufacturing engineering.
• Willingness to travel for business trips up to 30%.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manages project design and development for new or existing products.
• Serves as the technical authority over one key direct account and is the primary engineering POC for all RRSA design activities for that account.
• Oversees design of generator set control systems, wiring harnesses, diagrams, and related electrical components.
• Verifies drawings for compliance with specifications and prepares equipment specifications.
