Job summary

JPMorganChase in Houston seeks a Controls Room analyst to apply analysis, reporting, and defect management within our Operational Risk Management applications, supporting users and stakeholders while growing to lead workstreams in a global support team.

You will partner with Technology and Product Owners, document bugs, prioritize fixes, create Tableau reports, and drive process improvements through data-driven insights and clear updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 2 years reporting experience using data analytics and BI tools such as Tableau/Alteryx/Cognos
• Excel proficiency with pivots, V-lookup, and formulas
• Experience with Tableau or other BI dashboard tools
• General knowledge of ETL processes
• Experience creating meaningful charts and data visualizations
• Experience in an Application Support/Client Service or Business Analyst role performing issue analysis and monitoring requirements
• Strong control background with process improvement and project management
• Self-starter with prioritization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Problem solving with AI tools

Responsibilities

• Report on KPIs and monitor SLA, performance, data quality, and incidents to identify and resolve exceptions.
• Analyze user and application data and translate into actionable insights.
• Review data to identify trends, communicate findings, and recommend solutions.
• Lead triage meetings to review defects and plan production releases.
• Provide detailed incident updates to senior stakeholders, end users, and technology partners.
• Partner with Technology to document bugs and prioritize fixes for deployments.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to suggest process improvements.
• Coordinate with Data Quality teams to ensure data accuracy.
• Document support issues, procedures, and the knowledge base.
• Create user and application reporting using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Gather user feedback on applications and business processes.
