Job summary

Ares Management Corporation in New York seeks an Associate to join the Events team as an Event & Conference Sponsorship Manager. You will coordinate participation, sponsorships, and 100+ global conferences, partnering with business leaders to align with regional and firmwide priorities.

This role requires superb project management, budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor relationships, with travel up to 20% and a four-day onsite work week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with outstanding academic record.
• 6–8 years of events, sponsorships, project management or marketing experience.
• Experience in financial services industry strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate participation, membership and sponsorship of 100+ global third party industry conferences annually.
• Manage 15+ conferences at a time across different stages and sizes.
• Provide event support for large flagship conferences including venue, catering, and speaker management.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for conference organizers and vendors, coordinating with internal stakeholders.
• Negotiate sponsorship packages and manage deliverables and deadlines.
