Job summary

IEEE in New Jersey is seeking a Conference Finance Analyst to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for IEEE's global conference business. The role partners with Accounting, Treasury, Audit, and Tax to ensure compliance with laws and IEEE policies.

The analyst will support organizers, monitor payments, and use financial tools like ICX, Coupa, Concur, Smartsheet, PPM, and Oracle Financials to keep data accurate and timely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• 2-4 years of financial or equivalent experience
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in deadline-driven environment
• Proficient with budgeting, forecasting and reporting
• Knowledge of accounting concepts

Responsibilities

• Create and review event budgets and financial projections.
• Advise organizers on payment services and pricing of products.
• Maintain sponsor/OU relationships and provide operations support.
• Monitor forms and documents including insurance, tax forms, contracts, bank statements, invoices.
• Enter financial data into IEEE financial systems and verify budgets.
• Reconcile final conference surpluses with source documents and statements.
• Support ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis.
