Job summary

IEEE is seeking an experienced Event Planner to provide best-in-class service for IEEE CEE's event management services team. You will act as subject matter expert on conferences, events and corporate meetings, guiding venue selection, budgeting, and logistics to allow clients to focus on content delivery.

The role requires handling complex, international events, managing budgets up to $1,000,000, and coordinating with clients, vendors, and IEEE volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req.
• 4-7 years Domestic and international professional event planning experience in the realm of conferences and meetings Req.
• Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation; Willing to attain CMP designation within the first two (2) years of employment Pref

Responsibilities

• Event management leadership for large-scale conferences and meetings.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage vendor relationships.
• Oversee budgeting, venue, AV, exhibits, housing and registrations logistics.
