Job summary

Coptic Orphans is seeking a Compliance Officer to monitor regulatory environments across the USA, Canada, Australia, UK, and Egypt and lead actions to meet obligations. The role collaborates with teams to implement controls, track risks, and prepare governance reports.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of regulatory compliance experience in multi-jurisdiction contexts, familiarity with privacy standards, and proficiency in Arabic reading/writing; travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in regulatory compliance or closely related function.
• Experience monitoring multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments and translating requirements into actions.
• Familiarity with privacy frameworks (GDPR and US state privacy laws) and information security standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor external regulatory environment across USA, Canada, Australia, UK and Egypt to identify obligations and risks.
• Translate updates into plain-language impact assessments with required actions and timelines.
• Maintain a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction compliance calendar and a risk register with remediation plans and owners.
• Advise department leads on regulatory implications without owning departmental operations.
• Prepare regular compliance status reports for leadership and governance bodies.
• Coordinate audit readiness activities and responses with external counsel as needed.
