Job summary

WP Engine is seeking a visionary Principal Global Compensation Manager to lead the design, execution, and evolution of global compensation programs within its Total Rewards function.

You will translate business goals into competitive pay structures, roll out in Workday Advanced Compensation, and drive pay transparency, equity planning, and cross-border salary architectures for a highly distributed workforce.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience in high-tech/SaaS, with at least 3 years in a lead advisory role.
• Hands-on configuration experience in Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Deep knowledge of global compensation structures, international market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
• Master-level compensation modeling, data analysis, and financial planning skills.
• Ability to influence, consult with, and present to executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, HR, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evolve, and lead global cash, bonus, and equity compensation strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Champion global pay transparency readiness, including EU directives and US laws.
• Oversee annual global merit, promotion, and equity cycles with finance budgets and Workday Advanced Compensation.
• Support executive compensation design and equity modeling for hires and refresh cycles.
• Lead design and evolution of global job architecture, leveling frameworks, and geographic salary structures.
• Advise EE Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and executives on compensation decisions and organizational design.
• Drive due diligence and post-merger integration strategies for compensation.
