Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Director, Global Compensation to lead strategy, design, and governance of compensation across its global footprint, harmonizing pay practices while respecting local markets and regulatory requirements.

You will own the global compensation philosophy, build scalable pay structures, and spearhead M&A compensation integration to onboard acquired firms onto a consistent job and pay framework.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive compensation experience, including 3+ years leading global compensation strategy.
• Experience with global job architecture, leveling, and pay structure design.
• Direct experience supporting M&A compensation integration and harmonization.
• Familiarity with EU Pay Transparency and pay equity.
• Strong command of compensation systems and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead global compensation strategy, design, and integration across geographies.
• Develop scalable pay structures while preserving global consistency.
• Oversee global job architecture, levels, progression, and career paths.
• Governance of base pay, bonus, and equity within HRIS systems.
• Ensure compliance with local and global pay regulations and pay reporting.
