Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Compensation Manager to join the team to design, develop, manage and administer employee compensation programs, partnering across the business to support firm strategy.

The role sits in the People & Culture team and focuses on benchmarking, annual salary processes, guidelines and education materials, and strategic advisory on compensation design and compliance.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of compensation theory, concepts, practices and trends.
• Experience in compensation program design, implementation and administration.
• Experience in compensation analysis with market data and job evaluation.
• Strong consulting skills with stakeholders up to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation and administration of compensation programs, processes and analysis including day-to-day management.
• Lead compensation benchmarking process including survey participation, market analysis, salary range and structure development and pay position review.
• Administer key annual processes: salary administration, budgeting, market competitiveness, guidelines and training materials.
• Provide strategic consult to HRBPs and leaders on compensation.
• Consult with business leaders to translate business needs into compensation design and policy input.
• Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to synthesize data and inform decisions.
• Identify marketplace trends to strengthen compensation programs.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on offers for experienced hires and campus.
• Communicate strategies and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Oversee and update all compensation communications and materials.
• Identify root causes to ensure data accuracy and reporting quality.
• Monitor federal, state and local compensation laws and ensure compliance.
• Lead projects, manage risks, and track progress to completion.
