Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks a Program Manager to oversee the clinical supply chain for early phase trials, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of top-quality materials to clinical sites.

Define global supply strategy, manage CSPMs, budgets, and collaborate with IE STs to support development while ensuring GxP compliance and regulatory readiness.

Role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a proven track record in pharma supply management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Pharmacy or Science required.
• 5-7+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in project management, planning, forecasting, budgeting.
• Excellent interpersonal, team, and leadership skills.
• Sound knowledge of GxP.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement a global clinical supply strategy.
• Ensure all clinical supplies are delivered on time, on budget and of top quality.
• Define and manage external budget for compounds and costs.
• Represent the clinical supply chain on IE STs.
• Participate in PPDST meetings.
• Define API and drug product requirements and delivery dates.
• Matrix management of CSPMs.
• Allocate bulk drug product to CSPMs, minimizing wastage.
• Lead the recovery of clinical supplies during recalls.
