Job summary

City National Bank of Florida is seeking an International Client Acquisition Officer to oversee and drive compliance-driven onboarding and management of IPB clients. The role ensures adherence to BSA/AML, enhances KYC processes, and partners with RMs to mitigate reputational risk.

The ideal candidate has 5-7 years in banking with a focus on compliance and onboarding, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex workflows and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of banking experience with BSA/AML, international banking or risk management focus.
• 2-4 years of onboarding experience and regulatory compliance.
• Expertise in BSA/AML policies, KYC processes, and risk mitigation.
• Ability to handle multiple issues and provide guidance to the team on BSA/AML matters.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage complex workflows.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment on significant matters.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages deadlines and ensures timely completion of compliance and onboarding duties.
• Leads recruitment and assessment of RMs with focus on KYC/AML expertise.
• Oversees IPB-BSA workflow to prevent onboarding of prohibited risk clients and streamline processes for foreign nationals.
• Acts as liaison with BSA and compliance, addressing audit findings and ensuring regulatory alignment.
• Ensures timely completion of unit alerts and proper documentation submitted to BSA.
• Oversees due diligence for onboarding high-risk clients and prospects per IPB guidelines.
• Reviews client documentation for adherence to BSA/AML requirements prior to submission.
• Performs meticulous imaging of all client documents and completes Global Radar reviews.
• Manages OFAC hits on wires, ACHs, and related compliance matters.
• Evaluates policies for services like bill pay and hold mail; suggests improvements.
• Optimizes IPB unit processes to meet regulatory and operational standards.
