Job summary

Actalent in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks a skilled Certification Engineer to lead certification activities across the Americas from concept to commercialization. You will shape strategies, coordinate with agencies, and guide engineering teams to meet UL/FM/CSA, ATEX, IECEx standards while ensuring compliance and process improvement.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, project management, and cost estimation for certification efforts within a fully onsite setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, or product compliance roles.
• Experience with UL, FM, CSA, ATEX and IECEx frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage certification requirements across the product lifecycle.
• Develop and execute certification strategies for the Americas region.
• Coordinate with certification agencies and testing labs to obtain approvals.
• Prepare certification reports and technical documentation for audits.
• Provide guidance on regulatory strategies and compliance risks.
• Support engineering teams in designing compliant products.
• Conduct electrical design reviews for certification.
• Develop test plans and oversee testing for regulatory compliance.
