Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Certification Engineer to lead certification activities for the Americas region from concept through commercialization and sustainment. You will influence stakeholders, ensure compliance with UL, FM, CSA, ATEX, and IECEx standards, and drive continuous improvement of certification processes.

The role involves coordinating with certification agencies, notified bodies, and testing labs, providing guidance to engineering teams, and overseeing verification and validation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in product certification or regulatory compliance.
• Experience with UL, FM, CSA, ATEX and IECEx frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead certification across the product lifecycle from concept to commercialization and sustainment.
• Develop strategies aligning with regulatory requirements in the Americas.
• Plan and drive certification initiatives, coordinating with agencies and labs.
• Prepare technical documentation and compliance records for audits.
