Job summary

ClimateWorks Foundation is seeking a Program Manager to drive the Cement & Building Materials portfolio, coordinating grantmaking, knowledge exchange, and strategy development. The role focuses on decarbonizing heavy industry by engaging with partners, grantees, and external stakeholders worldwide.

The selected candidate will join a globally distributed team, work across time zones including California, India, Africa, and Asia, and travel internationally.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in program management, grantmaking, or partnership development in climate, industry, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of industrial decarbonization, particularly in cement & building materials.
  • Able to work across global time zones with calls to teams in California, India, Africa, and Asia.
  • Availability for international travel: ~three to four trips per year.
  • Experience managing grants or working with non‑profits, foundations, or multilateral initiatives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for general audiences.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the Global Industry Hub, including a passion for solving climate change.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of grants within their portfolio, including scoping, assessment, structuring, and evaluation.
  • Build relationships with grantees and ensure regular reporting.
  • Identify and assess new opportunities across cement and building materials, including emerging markets.
  • Collaborate with peers to support grantmaking and cross‑cutting strategies.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues across the Hub and ClimateWorks.
