Job summary

ClimateWorks Foundation in San Francisco is seeking a Program Manager – Clean Air / Clean Energy to lead global grantmaking in energy transition and air pollution, with a focus on the China and Southeast Asia regions.

The role requires strong program management, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration, including partnerships with Bloomberg Philanthropies, and a capability to guide a small team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in project management roles with energy transition experience.
• Experience coordinating with funders and partners.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Based in or flexible to San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the grantmaking portfolio supporting energy transition and air pollution globally with a focus on China and Southeast Asia
• Lead strategy development, program budgeting, program reporting, and review of all projects related to this initiative
• Serve as the main point of contact to Bloomberg Philanthropies and ensure alignment with program objectives
• Produce high-quality written and analytic materials in a fast-paced environment
• Provide thought leadership and engage with philanthropic partners where needed
• Collaborate across internal colleagues and with Bloomberg Philanthropies
• Oversee the management and supervision of the team, currently consisting of one direct report
