Job summary

ByteDance's Global Engineering CDN team in Seattle builds and operates a high-performance, multi-cloud CDN platform supporting TikTok. We seek graduates with strong fundamentals in CS, software engineering, and networks who can contribute to scheduling, traffic optimization, and cost efficiency across global infrastructures.

You'll work on backend services, data analytics, and monitoring to improve performance and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, software/engineering, math, statistics, or related field.
Familiar with Go, Python, Java or C/C++.
Solid foundation in data structures, OS, networks, and databases.
Basic understanding of HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, caching, traffic routing, or Linux.
Strong analytical thinking and interest in large-scale traffic systems.

Responsibilities

Participate in development and optimization of the global Multi-Cloud CDN scheduling platform.
Build traffic optimization mechanisms across self-built and vendor CDN infra to improve performance and cost.
Contribute to cost optimization projects for self-built CDN and multi-cloud traffic.
Build and improve metrics, monitoring, and analysis tools for resource use, traffic, bandwidth, cache efficiency, and cost.
Participate in traffic analysis, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and stability improvements.
