Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a data platform engineer for its Global Engineering CDN team in Seattle. You will help build and operate a global Multi-Cloud CDN data platform, develop data pipelines and dashboards, and support data needs for CDN operations, cost optimization, and governance.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
Proficiency in at least one language: Python, Go, Java, or Scala.
Solid foundation in data structures, databases, OS, and distributed systems concepts.
Familiar with SQL and data processing concepts.
Strong analytical thinking and data quality focus.

Responsibilities

Participate in development and improvement of the global Multi-Cloud CDN data platform.
Build and maintain data pipelines, data models, dashboards, and data quality mechanisms for CDN data.
Support data needs for CDN product operations, business analysis, cost optimization, and governance.
Develop data products and visualization tools to improve visibility into CDN usage and costs.
Improve stability, accuracy, timeliness, and scalability of CDN data systems.
