Job summary

ByteDance's Global Engineering CDN team builds and operates a highly available, multi-cloud CDN platform powering large-scale products such as TikTok. This internship offers hands-on experience and industry exposure to real-world challenges, with opportunities to apply knowledge and grow professionally.

Interns will assist in CDN traffic scheduling and optimization, build dashboards and analysis tools, and participate in data-driven studies while learning from mentors in global traffic

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS/SE/EE or related field.
• Familiar with Python, Go, Java, or C/C++.
• Basic understanding of data structures, OS, networks, or databases.
• Interest in networking, traffic systems, cloud infra, data analysis, or large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong learning ability and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and analysis of CDN traffic scheduling and optimization systems.
• Build metrics, dashboards, scripts, or tools for traffic distribution and cost optimization.
• Analyze CDN traffic patterns and operational efficiency.
• Support monitoring and optimization for scheduling stability and traffic efficiency.
• Collaborate with mentors to understand global traffic management and multi-cloud optimization.
