Rivian in Michigan is seeking a Lead Global Supply Manager to architect our CapEx sourcing landscape. You will lead the supplier selection, contract terms, and lifecycle management for high-visibility projects, partnering with cross-functional leadership to align procurement with business goals.

This role requires expert negotiation, risk mitigation, and data-driven decision making to achieve cost targets and on-time delivery in a fast-growing EV production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Significant experience managing commodities and full procurement lifecycle.
• Capex, Paint Shop, Construction, or similar technical commodity experience
• Expert user of Supply Chain systems (SAP, Basecamp) and cost estimation review skills
• Strong communication, execution, and risk-management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: Lead several large projects with medium-high spend and navigate landscapes to optimize value.
• Systems and Process: Use supply chain systems to improve cross-functional processes.
• Technical Understanding: Manage commodities and align strategies with procurement and stakeholder goals.
• Negotiations: Lead negotiations with limited legal involvement and apply non-monetary tradeoffs.
• Supplier Management: Maintain high-level relationships and drive accountability.
• Stakeholder Management: Build relationships and communicate risk mitigation to leadership.
• Project Management and Risk Mitigation: Lead autonomously and map risks to resolve issues.
• Data Analysis: Develop KPIs and translate datasets for executives.
