Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Global Supply Manager to lead end-to-end sourcing for CapEx projects across multiple vehicle and facility programs. You will manage medium to large spend, negotiate terms, and coordinate with Tier 1 suppliers to protect Rivian’s financial and production interests.

The role requires strong supplier management, data-driven decision making, and the ability to travel 20-30% to various sites. Base SAP/Basecamp proficiency and cost-model experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering with 3+ years relevant experience.
• Experience creating commodity strategies and navigating economic/political factors.
• CapEx or technical sourcing experience preferably within battery, automotive or electronics.
• Supplier management and manufacturing or factory experience.
• Proficiency in SAP, Basecamp, and cost estimation models.
• Strong communication and execution skills; travel 20-30%.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing: lead projects with medium to large spend and complexity; drive the competitive bid process with leadership oversight.
• Systems and Process: use supply chain systems to support business needs; provide feedback on enterprise functionality.
• Technical Understanding: lead supplier prospecting; create and drive a category/commodity strategy.
• Negotiations: negotiate most terms with some legal involvement; use cost estimates to close should-cost gaps.
• Supplier Management: maintain understanding of Tier 1 footprints and sub-tier suppliers.
• Stakeholder Management: collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders for detailed forecasting and costs.
• Project Management and Risk Mitigation: lead small-scale projects; identify and mitigate low-complexity risks.
• Data Analysis: translate complex datasets for executives; synthesize data from multiple systems.
