Job summary

WR Immigration in Oakland is seeking an Associate Attorney to support business immigration filings, collaborating with legal assistants and paralegals. The role emphasizes client communication, strategy, and high-volume case review.

The ideal candidate will have a Bar admission, 5+ years of immigration experience, and strong skills in H-1B, EB visas, and complex RFEs/NOIDs. Remote applicants are welcome with time-zone preference for Mountain or Pacific.

Qualifications

• Valid membership in an applicable Bar association.
• 5+ years of business immigration experience.
• Broad knowledge across nonimmigrant visa matters (H-1B, L-1A/L-1B, E-2, O-1, TN, E-3, J-1).
• Strong knowledge of employment-based permanent residence (PERM, EB-1A/B/C, NIW).
• Experience handling RFEs, NOIDs, and complex issues.
• Experience advising startups and smaller corporate clients on immigration strategy.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and communicate options to address clients’ immigration needs.
• Maintain timely communication with clients during and after filings.
• Supervise staff to ensure correct preparation and filing.
• Ensure accuracy for high-volume cases.
• Assist clients and staff with questions throughout filing process.
• Other duties as required.
