Business Development Director – US Defense Sector

Requirements: Defense Sector experience and a DoD Security Clearance are mandatory.

We seek a seasoned Business Development Director specializing in the U.S. Defense Sector to join our global team, based in the U.S., focusing on expanding our presence in North America.

Role Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with US teams to drive innovation within the U.S. Defense mobile communications ecosystem, supporting the DoD's FutureG plans.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to remove barriers and strengthen partnerships in the US Defense sector.
  • Engage with senior industry leaders to position Ericsson as a leader in MCN innovation.
  • Manage cross-functional teams on high-impact market development programs and mentor junior staff.
  • Track and document market development efforts, ensuring they meet milestones and deliver results.
Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with a solid understanding of the mobile communications market.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Defense-related roles and recognized in the market.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability and resilience for long sales cycles.
  • Customer-focused with strong analytical skills to perform market analysis and strategize accordingly.
  • Experience working in multinational, diverse environments with strong communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans that influence industry standards.
