About the role:

The Business Development Director WA, AK, NE ensures excellence in planning and executing market growth and profit strategies aligned with company objectives for the Spirits business in the assigned states. This involves leading, planning, directing, motivating, training, and measuring distributor organizations, and managing trade marketing initiatives.

The role embeds Diageo's vision within our distributor partners by providing clear direction and fostering collaboration, emphasizing teamwork and results.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Engage with state-level distributor GMs to ensure category performance.
  2. Identify and implement growth opportunities based on field insights.
  3. Plan local activation events to build brand awareness.
  4. Empower distributor sales teams to optimize outlets.
  5. Achieve KPIs and market share growth in key accounts and channels.
  6. Identify high-potential accounts and allocate resources.
  7. Develop strategies with cross-functional teams to meet financial goals.
  8. Build strong distributor relationships and optimize route-to-market strategies.
  9. Consider environmental, social, and legal factors affecting sales and distributor economics.
  10. Work with leadership to develop pricing strategies.
  11. Grow market share in top accounts through retail teams and distributor connections.

  • Depletion-based P&L (dNSV, trade spend, dGP, dGM)
  • Shipment-based P&L (NSV, GP, GM)
  • Third-party marketing budgets
