Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities to expand business and increase profitability.
  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships, product lines, or market segments, and pursue new business from prospective customers and suppliers.
  • Engage with existing or prospective customers within the framework of the business development program.
  • Establish relationships with potential customers and suppliers, address unmet needs or issues, and coordinate meetings with WESCO representatives.
  • Represent the company in identifying, evaluating, and negotiating new product lines, vendor solutions, markets, acquisitions, partnerships, alliances, joint ventures, and startups.
  • Oversee development and research activities to identify new markets and opportunities, increase market share, and strengthen competitive positioning.
  • Implement sales initiatives or programs targeting new, existing, or obsolete products.
  • Participate in industry, civic, and community events to enhance company image and generate additional business.
  • Manage, evaluate, and develop staff.
  • Analyze business development statistics, report results to senior management, and adjust strategies as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including financial analysis, sales, and negotiation.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Business analysis and financial modeling expertise.
  • Knowledge of industry players, including suppliers, customers, and competitors, is preferred.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate new business opportunities quickly.
  • Ability to build relationships with key decision-makers inside and outside the company.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial and operational data.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%-75%.
