Job summary

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Benefits Manager to design, run and continuously improve our health, wellness, and financial benefits programs for a distributed workforce. You will own strategy, vendor relationships, compliance, and cost optimization, partnering with Finance, Legal, and IT to deliver measurable employee value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive benefits experience with renewals and vendor management.
• Deep knowledge of US benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA).
• Experience with benefits platforms and HRIS integrations.
• Strong negotiation, data-driven decision making, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed team across time zones.
• Discretion handling sensitive employee information.

Responsibilities

• Own benefits strategy and roadmaps for health, wellness, and financial programs.
• Lead renewal cycles, cost modeling, carrier negotiation, and communications.
• Manage broker, carrier, and vendor relationships with service-level focus.
• Partner with Finance to forecast spend and identify cost optimization.
• Ensure ACA/ERISA compliance, filings, notices, and audits.
• Administer benefits technology and data accuracy across systems.
• Escalate and resolve complex benefits, leave, and accommodation cases.
• Deliver clear, engaging benefits communications and education.
• Evaluate benefits for new geographies and acquisitions.
• Build scalable processes, docs, and metrics for leadership reporting.
