Job summary

LaunchDarkly seeks a Senior Benefits Manager to own the health, wellness, and financial benefits programs for a distributed workforce. You will lead strategy, manage carrier/vendor relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with executives to optimize cost and employee experience.

You will design and run renewals, model costs, and drive benefits technology implementations while coaching colleagues and aligning with Finance, Legal, and IT.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive benefits experience with renewals, open enrollment, and vendor management in a fast-paced tech environment.
• Deep knowledge of US benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, state/local) and funding models.
• Experience with benefits administration platforms and HRIS integrations (Workday, Rippling) and carrier feeds.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills with cost/service improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex topics to executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the benefits strategy and roadmap across medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, 401(k), and leave programs.
• Lead renewal and open enrollment, including design analysis, funding models, negotiations, and audits.
• Manage broker, carrier, PEO/EOR, and third-party relationships with a focus on service levels and cost.
• Partner with Finance to forecast, budget, and report benefits spend and identify optimization opportunities.
• Ensure ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and leave law compliance and complete required filings and audits.
• Administer and optimize benefits technology and data integrity (HRIS integrations and invoicing).
• Provide escalation support for complex benefits cases and coach teammates.
