Job summary

Wellington Management Company is seeking a Global Benefits Co-op in Boston to learn the ins and outs of a comprehensive benefit program from a global perspective. You will support the administration of healthcare, retirement plans, and work/life programs for ~3,000 employees worldwide, while developing strong confidentiality, analytical, and communication skills.

The Position

The Global Benefits Co‑op will be involved in all aspects of the benefits at Wellington Management. The Global Benefits team is responsible for the administration of all benefits for approximately 3,000 employees worldwide. Benefits include healthcare, dental, retirement plans, work/life programs, professional development, deferred compensation plans, and insurance. The position aligns with well with students interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources. The Global Benefits Co‑op position offers an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a comprehensive benefit plan offering from a global perspective. The individual filling this role will be the first point of contact to the firm’s staff and will be heavily involved with plan administration. The role requires an individual who is detail‑oriented, analytical, and flexible. The candidate will be working in an area that demands a high level of confidentiality and discretion. Maturity in manner and professional appearance are therefore prerequisites for this individual. The individual in this role will depart the Co‑op position with an understanding of global benefits, an ability to navigate a Human Resources Information System (Workday), increased proficiency in the use of Excel and increased aptitude for demonstrating such competencies as time‑management, analysis, and communication.

Responsibilities

Special projects: The Co‑op will be responsible for managing projects on an ad-hoc basis as they arise.

Please note: This co‑op position entails cross‑training to ensure optimal performance across functions.

The anticipated start date for accepted candidates is December2026/January2027. Only Northeastern University students are eligible for this program.

Compensation

At Wellington Management, our approach to compensation is designed to help us attract, inspire and retain the best talent in our industry.We strive to pay employees fairly and competitively across all levels and roles. Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is: $19-$35 per hour. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process. Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
