Job summary

Wellington Management Company is offering a co-op position in the Investment Strategy Technology team. The role provides exposure to financial technology and direct interaction with business and technology stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on learning and skill development within the financial services industry.

The co-op entails cross-training across functions, starting December 2026/January 2027, and is open to Northeastern University students.

THE POSITION

The Investment Strategy Technology Co‑op position offers a chance to learn more about financial technology, working with the Investment Strategy Technology team. The Co‑op will be in direct communication with both business and technology stakeholders and will be an integral part of the team. This is a great role with flexibility built in to allow the Co‑op to learn about the financial services industry and develop a variety of technical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Writing code and unit tests for features and bug fixes.
  • Communicating with other technology teams as needed to complete projects and resolve questions.
  • Documenting at all steps – decisions and analysis, implementation, and support.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • The individual must be well organized, resourceful, motivated and have the ability to adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ability to think with vision and communicate concisely
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • A team‑orientation, and willingness to “pitch in” when necessary

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is: $19-$35 per hour. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process. Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
