Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and review of federal, state and local tax returns for partnerships and corporations.
  • Assist with notices and inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Conduct tax and investment‑related research using online references.
  • Research federal, state, & local tax laws.
  • Liaise with members of Wellington’s broader finance team and other business lines.
  • Assist with workflow and data management and other projects across Global Tax Services.

THE POSITION

As the Co-op for the Global Tax Services, you will be an appreciated member of our team. Fundamentally, we specialize in the taxation of financial products, but we are a springboard to positions in accounting, financial reporting, business services, legal, client service, and of course, investment product management. In six months you will understand how tax is the intersection of these other positions and have the opportunity to network across other areas of the firm. Our team looks to build in you hard analytical & data‑centric skills while fostering soft skills essential for professional development. You will find the work challenging but varied, tactical yet multi‑disciplinary. Our goal is to start basic then build knowledge and fluency – with quality work ethic comes robust job experience. Prior experience is less important than curiosity and a strong desire build skills though a demonstrated strong work ethic.

RESPONSIBILITIES
