Job summary

Wellington Management Company is seeking a proactive co-op to support the Corporate Access and Research Services (CARS) team. You will analyze research services usage, manage third-party requests, and help coordinate corporate access activities across internal teams.

The role emphasizes data fluency, collaboration, and delivering insights that improve workflows. Northeastern University students are eligible, with a start date around January.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization, analysis, and programming tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python.
  • Strong analytical thinking and data fluency to uncover insights and support decision making.
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts including automation, APIs, data modeling, and data management.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into clear actions for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis of research services and corporate access consumption data to uncover trends and support strategic decisions.
  • Manage and complete ad-hoc requests related to third-party research approvals, investor support, and entitlement processes, ensuring timely and accurate execution across multiple priorities.
  • Assist in the centralization and coordination of corporate access activity, including analysis of corporate events and collaboration with internal teams to resolve meeting data inconsistencies across systems.
  • Assist with relationship management of research providers and our biannual broker vote including analyzing provider engagement and consumption data to generate insights shared internally and with external partners.
  • Access and analyze data from across the firm using tools such as Excel and Python to support ad-hoc projects, improve systems, and deliver insights that enhance team workflows and business processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for optimization and resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Actively contribute your own personal touch to the culture and norms of a diverse global team.

The Position

The Corporate Access and Research Services (CARS) team is responsible for ongoing support of external research, corporate access, and expert networks. The team specifically manages our relationships and engagement with external research providers, expert networks and corporate Investor Relations (IR) teams. Supported by guidance from the team, the co‑op will contribute to delivering high‑impact, data‑driven solutions for internal investors, corporates, and clients. This role involves supporting a variety of cross‑functional initiatives that require strong analytical thinking and data fluency, leveraging business intelligence tools to uncover insights, improve processes, and drive strategic outcomes. The co‑op will be an integral part of a global program, collaborating across teams to ensure successful execution and meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Positive, proactive work ethic with a hands‑on approach, a sense of humor, and a collaborative spirit
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with data visualization, analysis, and programming tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure concepts including automation, APIs, data modeling, and data management, with a strong willingness to learn and apply these tools to support team goals
  • Strong attention to detail and a versatile skillset that bridges both business and technical needs, with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and connect day‑to‑day tasks to broader strategic goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences

The official start date for all accepted candidates is January 5th. This date is fixed and no exceptions will be made. Only Northeastern University students are eligible for this program.

Salary

The base salary range for this position is: $19-$35 per hour. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process. Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
