Job summary

UBS is seeking a Client Onboarding Specialist in Raleigh to support Global Banking onboarding for capital markets and corporate financing transactions. You will complete KYC, regulatory, and tax onboarding, gather and review information, and ensure AML obligations are satisfied in a timely manner.

You’ll work with deal teams and clients to obtain required documentation and keep systems updated through every stage of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of client onboarding, KYC/AML, or financial services operations preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review onboarding requests and enter transaction details into the workflow tool.
• Conduct preliminary client research using internal systems and public info.
• Determine onboarding requirements and prepare outreach requests.
• Coordinate with clients, counsel, and Global Banking teams for required documents.
• Keep the workflow updated on stage, status, and timelines.
• Communicate onboarding progress clearly to deal teams and stakeholders.
• Perform client screening and raise issues to Financial Crime Prevention when needed.
• Prepare complete onboarding files and address approver feedback.
