Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation in Florida is seeking a Logistics Specialist III to support Field Site and Logistics Managers in aviation logistics, handling aviation and mission systems components from receipt to delivery. You will manage GFM/GFE, oversee inventory, and ensure on-time deliveries across CONUS and OCONUS locations.

The role requires ITAR knowledge, 3+ years in logistics, and willingness to deploy internationally. Expect extended hours and a 60/60 rotation as part of a deployed program.

Qualifications

• Understanding ITAR regulations for import/export of goods.
• Experience in logistics/warehouse environment and WMS.
• Practical application of Supply Chain/Logistics principles.
• Experience with hazardous/dangerous goods and materials.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years in logistics/supply chain or related field.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Advanced knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
• Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Experience with inventory databases.
• Ability to deploy for extended time to OCONUS locations.
• Ability to meet DoD/Combatant Command deployment requirements.
• Must pass pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Willingness to work extended hours/holidays/shifts.
• Passport and visa to travel internationally.
• Willing to deploy OCONUS on 60/60 rotations.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate inventory controls.
• Managing Government Furnished Material (GFM) and Equipment (GFE).
• Ordering aviation and mission system components.
• Analyze and resolve challenging logistics problems and propose solutions.
• On time material kit delivery.
• Shipping/receiving both international and US.
• Assist with government audits & agency surveillances.
• Apply practical supply chain/logistics principles to operations.
• Coordinate with departments for smooth logistics flow.
• Manage tooling inventories, storage, and calibration of equipment.
• Support deployed living logistics (housing, vehicles, offices).
• Deployed rotational position (60/60).
