Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Logistics Specialist II to coordinate and manage logistics activities, ensuring proper preparation, documentation, and routing of materials. You will oversee regulatory compliance and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

The role supports the IAS business area, with responsibilities spanning shipping, storage optimization, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
• Higher degree may substitute for experience.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and global logistics regulations.
• Basic MS Word and Excel skills.
• Experience with inventory databases.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and documentation of logistics materials (spares, tools, equipment).
• Manage shipping and routing of materials, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Maintain and analyze records of equipment, components, repair parts, and manuals.
• Optimize storage facility allocation and organization for logistics materials.
• Ensure compliance with import/export requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely delivery of materials.
• Provide mentorship to Logistics Specialist I.
