Job summary

STIWA Group in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Controls Engineer to architect high-performance automation. You will program, validate, and commission control systems using PLCs and HMI, leading hardware-in-the-loop validation and on-site commissioning worldwide.

You will travel internationally for training and project execution, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive process improvements for reliability and efficiency in complex automation environments.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related ABET-accredited field.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience with PLCs and HMI/OIT.
• Willingness to travel internationally for training and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Program, build, and validate sophisticated control systems with pneumatics, servos, VFDs and HMI touchscreens.
• Lead setup and startup of advanced machinery at US and Austria facilities and at customer sites worldwide.
• Refine machines to improve efficiency and long-term reliability; document specifications and project blueprints.
• Provide post-sales support and deliver high-level technical training to global clients.
