Job summary

Anthropic Limited is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to own global asset management and hardware lifecycle across offices in multiple cities. You will define the lifecycle model, data schema, and the processes used by on-site engineers and the storage room to keep an accurate system of record.

You will select and administer asset management tools (e.g., Jira Assets, Snipe-IT), coordinate with IT Engineering, Finance, and vendor partners, and drive automation initiatives to improve efficiency

Qualifications

• Implemented an asset management and lifecycle program across multiple offices.
• Experience with Jira Assets or Snipe-IT and data modeling.
• Experience with e-waste or secure disposal and chain-of-custody.
• Vendor management for hardware purchasing and asset disposal.
• Document runbooks and knowledge base articles.
• Basic scripting (Bash or Python) for inventory or reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop global asset management strategy and lifecycle model.
• Select and administer asset management tool and data model.
• Define processes for on-site engineers and storage room.
• Onboard hardware lifecycle services vendor and manage day-to-day relationship.
• Establish inventory of record across systems and ensure accuracy.
• Run audits and reconcile counts with system of record.
• Manage demo/loaner/travel inventories and complex deployments.
• Maintain inventory counts and guide purchasing.
• Coordinate procurement, calendar and invoicing with Accounting.
• Develop collection, e-waste and disposal workflows.
• Build e-waste program with partners and data destruction records.
• Handle legal holds and chain-of-custody.
• Provide day-to-day hardware contact for BPO partners.
• Run corporate mobile program and vendor relationships.
• Automate repetitive tasks with scripts/integrations.
