Job summary

Lead Application Engineer in Irvine, CA, supporting board-level encapsulant development and customers' field service needs. This role interfaces between field and lab to capture and translate customer requirements for new applications and products.

Responsibilities include design/administration of internal evaluations, process optimization, and direct customer interactions to solve product and process issues. Travel up to 25% globally and 50/50 lab vs. customer focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or Materials Science.
• 7+ years in R&D or application engineering; PhD with 5+ years acceptable.
• Direct customer support experience required.
• Knowledge of circuit board encapsulant products and SMT is required.
• Knowledge of liquid application equipment and process highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Support board-level encapsulant development and field service needs.
• Bridge customer needs between field and lab.
• Design and administer internal screening evaluations of products.
• Optimize material assembly processes and troubleshoot customer issues.
• Travel up to 25% globally; collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide.
