Job summary

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Airfreight Import Export Coordinator to oversee outbound shipments from pickup to billing, ensuring service commitments and company goals are met.

The role emphasizes analyzing service failures, coordinating documentation, and ensuring compliance (AES, Denied Party Screening) while using CRM and billing systems. The position offers base pay of $31.00–$33.65 per hour plus competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding preferred.
• Completion of any industry related course is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes service failures across multiple departments and escalates findings to ensure timely resolution.
• Assigns tasks as required to internal departments based on the nature of the request.
• Confirms shipment profitability and escalates any loss-making or low-margin shipments to supervisor.
• Controls commercial documentation required for export or import declaration and other regulatory requirements (AES, DPS, Hazmat, AMS).
• Prepares house airway bill pouch and labels.
• Processes external billing based on quotations, established contract rates and standard tariffs.
• Responsible for export compliance including Denied Party Screening and AES filing.
• Initiates shipment processing and confirms routing and tracking events.
• Ensures customers are set up in CRM with POA and billing profiles.
• Sets up estimated cost and revenue charges based on quotations or rates.
• Sends customer pre-alerts after arrival at final port of discharge.
