Job summary

Rayner Surgical Group, based in Memphis, TN, seeks a finance leader to manage day-to-day accounting for the US and Canada. You will drive month-end and year-end close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and uphold internal controls while partnering with the Finance Director on analysis and decision support.

You will oversee GL, AR, AP, treasury, tax support, and audit coordination, while mentoring the finance team and driving continuous improvement across finance processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Experience managing GL, AR, AP, treasury, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Experience preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and supporting budgeting and variance analysis.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience leading, developing, and mentoring a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring compliance with standards and controls.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, treasury, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Oversee AR and AP processes, including credit control, supplier payments, invoicing, reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Monitor financial performance, identify trends and risks, and propose process improvements.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities and resolve findings.
• Support cross-functional teams with financial information, pricing updates, and other finance projects.
• Support global and local tax compliance activities as required.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the Finance team.
