Job summary

nexAir, LLC in Memphis, TN seeks an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the month-end and year-end close in accordance with GAAP and internal policies. You will supervise accounting staff, manage cash flow and fixed assets, and coordinate with auditors and tax preparers.

The role includes preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with monthly financial statements, and supporting acquisitions and sales/use tax workpaper preparation in collaboration with Operations and FP&A.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting with CPA preferred or candidate status.
• 7+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a public accounting firm or large company.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end and year-end close process in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Supervise accounting staff, including Cash Management and PP&E activities.
• Prepare and record journal entries; review monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and support acquisitions and asset data integration.
• Conduct sales and use tax workpapers and coordinate with auditors and tax preparers.
• Collaborate with Operations and FP&A on financial matters.
• Participate in other accounting projects as needed.
