Job summary

The Accounting Manager at Corporate Finance Institute will directly oversee multiple accounting sub-functions, ensuring accurate financial records and timely month-end close while maintaining U.S. GAAP compliance.

You will collaborate with Finance, Payroll and other stakeholders to optimize processes, strengthen internal controls, and prepare clear financial overviews for management and audits. You will manage day-to-day transactions, implement improvements, and partner with FP&A to review spend

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred.
• 5-6 years of general ledger experience.
• 2-3 years of revenue recognition exposure is a plus.
• Intermediate skills with MS Office programs including Excel, Outlook, Word and GSuite.
• Experience with process automation, system implementations, or scaling accounting operations is preferred.
• Knowledge of the SaaS industry required.
• Strong understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.
• Knowledge of NetSuite or other major accounting software packages
• Demonstrate critical thinking to identify potential solutions or new approaches for current operating procedures
• Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask
• Remote experience including communication using Slack, Zoom, Google Drive, etc.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review journal entries and supporting documentation.
• Record and reconcile monthly P/L related processes to include but not limited to payables, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, software capitalization, goodwill, and intangibles, etc
• Perform a thorough monthly review of the P/L by department, account, and vendor, and investigate differences.
• Partner with FP&A to review spend vs budget
• Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements.
• Own payables and credit card processes
• Cross-train accounts receivable billing and collection processes
• Assist with year-end audits
• Manage positive business relationships with both internal and external parties
• Assist with other AdHoc processes and system implementations that streamline and improve accounting processes
• Support internal control design, execution, and documentation.
