The Global Account Manager owns IMDEX’s strategic relationship with a portfolio of major global mining and resources customers. The role connects customer priorities across corporate, regional and site levels with IMDEX’s full portfolio of technologies, software and services. It develops trusted senior relationships, creates and executes multi-year account strategies, coordinates IMDEX globally, and converts customer challenges into scalable solutions and sustainable commercial growth.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES
- Own the global account strategy for assigned customers, including a clear value proposition, stakeholder map, growth priorities, competitive position, risks and a rolling multi-year roadmap.
- Build executive relationships with senior customer decision-makers and influencers across corporate functions, regions and operating assets, positioning IMDEX as a trusted strategic partner.
- Develop deep customer insight into business priorities, operating workflows, technology strategies, procurement models, performance challenges and investment drivers.
- Create measurable customer value by shaping integrated solutions across the IMDEX portfolio and linking them to improved safety, productivity, decision quality, sustainability and operating performance.
- Grow profitable revenue and share of wallet by identifying enterprise-wide opportunities, expanding successful solutions across sites and regions, and developing new commercial pathways for emerging technologies.
- Lead complex opportunities from early engagement through business case development, proposal, negotiation, contracting and transition to implementation, with commercial terms that protect value for both IMDEX and the customer.
- Coordinate IMDEX globally across regional management, operations, product, technical, commercial, legal, finance and executive leadership so the customer receives a consistent and joined-up experience.
- Establish account governance and an effective engagement rhythm, including executive sponsorship, regular account reviews, opportunity prioritization, issue escalation and clear internal ownership.
- Influence without direct authority, aligning regional and functional teams behind the account strategy while respecting local customer relationships, delivery responsibilities and commercial governance.
- Translate strategic needs and market intelligence into actionable input for product strategy, solution development and investment priorities, while setting realistic expectations with customers.
- Protect customer confidence by ensuring commitments are clear, delivery risks are surfaced early, customer issues are resolved at the appropriate level and lessons are shared across IMDEX.
- Maintain commercial discipline through accurate CRM information, high-quality pipeline and forecast inputs, account performance tracking, contract awareness and timely reporting of risks and opportunities.
- Represent IMDEX externally at senior customer forums and relevant industry events, communicating complex technical and commercial propositions with clarity and credibility.
- Demonstrate IMDEX behaviors by speaking up with confidence and respect, being accountable for commitments, engaging others in decisions and building collaborative relationships across cultures and geographies.
- Lead safely and responsibly by complying with IMDEX health, safety, environment, risk, compliance and Code of Conduct requirements, and by raising concerns through the appropriate channels.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Significant senior-level experience in global or strategic account management, business development, enterprise solution selling or a comparable commercial leadership role.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-region customers and developing senior relationships within mining, resources, industrial technology or a similarly complex B2B environment.
- Strong understanding of the mining value chain, customer operating models and the commercial adoption of technology, software and services.
- Proven ability to create strategic account plans, originate and shape complex opportunities, build compelling business cases, and negotiate high-value, long‑term commercial arrangements.
- Commercial and financial acumen, including value‑based selling, pricing, margin awareness, contracting, forecasting and risk management.
- Ability to connect technical capabilities with customer outcomes and communicate complex solutions clearly to executive, operational, technical and procurement stakeholders.
- Highly developed influencing, facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mobilize cross-functional teams without relying on formal authority.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English. Additional language capability relevant to assigned accounts is advantageous.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, engineering, geoscience, mining, technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally and work effectively across time zones, cultures and organizational boundaries.
