Job summary

The Glass Guru of West Minneapolis is seeking a motivated Laborer to join our residential and small commercial glass team, with duties including assisting the Lead Glazier on installations.

We offer training for the right candidate, a full-time on-site role in Minnesota, and wages based on experience. Must have HS diploma and be able to lift 50–100 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• All candidates must pass initial background check and drug test. Valid license to drive, and a clean DMV record.
• Candidates must be physically capable of performing work, in good health, with the ability to lift up to 50-100lbs. unassisted.
• Will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Glazier with installation of insulated glass units, replacement windows, shower enclosures, mirrors and other residential glass applications.
• Support glazing/construction tasks on-site as part of the laborer role.
• Maintain job-site safety and cleanliness as part of daily duties.

Job Title: Laborer

Compensation: $16-$24/hr

While Glass industry experience is valued and preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate and would like above all someone with the right mindset and work ethic.

Roles & Responsibilities: Laborer (Glazing/Construction)

Growing full-service glass company is seeking experienced Laborer with entry level Glazing and/or Construction experience to work on a full-time basis. Main duties will include assisting the Lead Glazier with the installation of insulated glass units, replacement windows, shower enclosures, mirrors, and other residential glass applications. Entry level Glazing and Construction experience is a plus, but will train the right person. Competitive wages offered, based on experience.

Preferred Skills

• Residential glass replacement including single/double pane window glass, shower enclosures, skylights, etc...
• Residential window/door installation including new construction and retrofit
• Window/door maintenance, weatherization, and repair
• Effective troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal/written communications skills
• Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel) preferred
