Job summary

Glaukos is seeking a Reimbursement Liaison (Glaucoma) to serve as reimbursement policy expert and patient/provider support to ensure access to sight-saving technologies. You will educate HCPs on clinical documentation, prior authorizations, and billing aligned with payer requirements.

You will collaborate with PSS and practices, navigate payers, and lead education on copay assistance, appeals, and policy updates while maintaining high ethical standards and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; MBA/MPH preferred.
• 8 years in specialty pharmaceuticals or surgical devices.
• Minimum 3 years direct reimbursement/healthcare policy experience.
• Experience with physician-administered injectables, CPT/J-codes, and buy & bill.
• Ability to travel ~50% with overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs and their staff on benefit verifications, PA requirements, and patient cost share.
• Collaborate with Patient Support Specialist to remove access barriers for GPS patients.
• Respond to payer policy questions and coding/approval procedures.
• Lead education on copay assistance, appeals, and denied/partially paid claims.
• Provide education on specialty pharmacy and buy & bill acquisition options.
• Monitor reimbursement trends and communicate changes to payer teams as needed.
• Maintain expertise on regional and national payer landscapes, including prior auth and appeals.
