Job summary

Glaukos Corporation in Southern California is seeking a Reimbursement Liaison to serve as an expert in reimbursement policies and patient/provider support to ensure patients have access to Glaukos’ sight-saving technologies.

This role educates healthcare professionals on billing, prior authorizations, copay assistance, and payer requirements while collaborating with the Patient Support Specialist to remove access barriers for GPS patients. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; MBA or MPH preferred.
• 8 years of experience with specialty pharmaceuticals or surgical devices.
• Minimum of 3 years direct reimbursement/healthcare policy experience.
• Eyecare experience preferred.
• Payer/insurance coverage experience with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, VA/Tri-Care, Commercial and Medicaid plans.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present/train.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs and office staff on benefit verifications, PA requirements, and patient cost share.
• Collaborate with Patient Support Specialist to remove barriers to access for GPS patients.
• Respond to payer questions on coding, policy, and approvals.
• Advise on copay assistance and patient support programs.
• Provide education on appeals, denied/partially paid claims, and billing practices.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in related field

MBA or MPH preferred

8 years experience with specialty pharmaceuticals or surgical devices

Minimum 3 years direct reimbursement/healthcare policy experience

Eyecare experience preferred

Payer/insurance coverage experience

Ability to travel ~50%

Strong communication and presentation skills
