Job summary

Performance Contracting Group in Aurora, CO is seeking an experienced Glass and Glazing Operations Manager for the Denver 583 branch to oversee commercial glass and glazing projects from conception to completion.

You will lead the Denver operation, initiate and maintain client contact, coordinate with owners, engineers, and subcontractors, monitor costs and margins, ensure safety compliance, and collaborate with estimating on bids and change orders to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science or construction management or equivalent work experience.
• 7–10 years' experience as a project manager in the Glass and Glazing industry.
• 2–3 years' experience managing teams and processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings.
• Good communication skills.
• Motivated self-starter.
• Strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude.
• Team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects and applying new skills.
• Clear understanding of safety needs in glass and glazing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee commercial glass and glazing operations in Denver.
• Initiate and maintain customer contact to enable securements and profitable execution.
• Direct and manage construction activities to maximize margin contributions.
• Interpret and analyze contract documents for terms, specs, clarifications, and requirements.
• Manage job site personnel and relations with owners, engineers, utilities, subcontractors, unions, etc.
• Implement loss control and claims management related to workers' compensation.
• Analyze actual vs. estimated costs to develop action plans for variances; maintain an effective job control system.
• Coordinate with estimating to maximize bidding activity without sacrificing quality.
• Negotiate contract issues, change orders, scope changes, claims and other project issues.
