Job summary

Ardagh Group is seeking a Forming Supervisor to oversee hourly union employees on a single shift in the forming department, ensuring the manufacturing of glass containers meets our customers' specifications.

You will lead safety initiatives, maintain accurate records, monitor production efficiency, coordinate with other departments, and implement corrective actions with the team to sustain high quality and on‑time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience in glass manufacturing with emphasis on the forming process.
• Prior experience with mold repair, machine repair, and job changes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk work environment.
• Ability to travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a proactive safety environment including good housekeeping and awareness of injury risks.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department and with other departments; develop labor relations.
• Maintain timely and accurate records such as attendance, production, quality, training, and discipline.
• Monitor production efficiencies and quality; provide corrective action plans with employees and communicate with departments.
• Comply with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs.
