Ardagh Group is seeking a Production Manager in California to lead forming, mold repair, and machine repair teams. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while controlling operating costs in a high-volume glass plant.

The role requires extensive experience in glass manufacturing with a strong focus on forming processes and leadership capabilities. A Bachelor's degree in engineering is preferred, and long hours plus travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 12+ years in glass manufacturing with forming and management experience.
• Experience with mold repair and machine repair.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and planning abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial, high-risk environment.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours.
• Travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure glass containers meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Staff forming dept with salary administration, training, and succession planning.
• Manage department budgets including time, labor, and spending costs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment with zero accidents.
• Monitor department performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Comply with environmental and food safety policies within the department.
