Job summary

Corning seeks a Development & Engineering Leader for the Glass Core program to set strategy and drive materials solutions for advanced packaging. The role partners with Glass Core leadership and global teams to deliver business value and scalable capabilities.

You will lead cross-functional teams from early stage to manufacturing-ready, manage resources and milestones, and travel 30-50% domestically and internationally while aligning product and process development with business strategy.

Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field.
• 15-20 years of early- to mid-stage technology delivery experience with global teams.
• At least 10 years as a D&E Leader of significant scope.
• Ability to communicate technical content clearly to broad audiences and provide concise project strategies and updates.
• Availability for significant domestic and international travel (30-50%).
• Executive communication skills and ability to work with global, matrixed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project teams in technology development, scaling from early-stage to manufacturing-ready.
• Provide project leadership, including defining workstreams, resources, finances, and stakeholder engagement.
• Serve as a member of the business team, coordinating strategy with program, R&D&E, and business leaders.
• Act as the primary technical liaison to third-party collaborators and suppliers.
• Own and execute strategy for product and process development, D&E capabilities, and scale-up facilities.
